Requirements

The ideal candidate possesses at least 6 years of experience in account management and sales, with a proven history of selling and closing complex technical solutions to a diverse customer base, including large multinational enterprises and SMBs. A consistent track record of achieving sales quotas, coupled with a solid understanding of cross-selling and up-selling strategies within mature customer bases, is essential. Familiarity with financial reporting, including revenue and gross profit tracking, risk assessment, and opportunity identification for net new business, is also required. Experience selling to both business and technical audiences, and knowledge of the communications market, particularly in messaging, voice calling, email, and account security verification, are considered desirable.

Responsibilities

The Senior Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for selling to high-value prospects and customers, driving business growth across EMEA with a focus on the UK and Ireland. Key duties include managing fast-growing customers, increasing revenue and gross profit share within a designated account list, and sourcing net new opportunities. This involves opening doors for Twilio's products and services, maintaining high customer satisfaction, creating pricing proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing the contract process. The role requires selling solutions to both technical and business audiences, building trust with customers and peers, and effectively communicating complex contractual, technical, and financial details. The executive must also balance challenging priorities and manage multiple projects and deals concurrently.
