Requirements

Partnerships expert with experience in the payments industry, preferably managing partnerships with Financial Institutions including banks, schemes, payment methods, and other fintechs
Experience working in both big organisations and fast-growing startups, with knowledge in putting in place processes and structure while remaining flexible and creative
Resourceful, action-oriented, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders to drive outcomes
At least 7 years of experience in a similar role in fintech/technology or top-tier management strategy/management consulting
Prior M&A Investment Banking experience is a plus
Experience in commercial negotiation and partnership sourcing and management
Excellent written, verbal, and in-person communication skills
Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
Enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and thrives under pressure

Responsibilities

Building, evaluating, and managing Airwallex’s key financial partnerships with banks across APAC to deepen product capabilities and enable launches in new markets
Scoping, establishing, negotiating, implementing, and operationalising complex partnership engagements
Acting as the bridge between financial partners and internal stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and outcomes
Contributing to M&A activities by providing access to regulatory licenses in new geographies, including identifying acquisition targets, financial analysis, and due diligence to ensure alignment with strategic goals and regulatory needs
Collaborating on new market development efforts
