The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience managing Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) or Business Development Representatives (BDRs), with a preference for B2B SaaS experience. They should also possess 2+ years of successful experience as an Inside Sales or Business Development Representative, a proven track record of hiring and ramping SDRs to quota, and demonstrated success in coaching sales professionals. Experience closing new business is a strong plus. Proficiency in using and building workflows in CRM systems like HubSpot and Salesforce is required. The candidate must be a strong and clear communicator with exceptional listening skills and empathy, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and accountability. The ability to manage a team in both remote and in-person settings is preferred, and the candidate must reside in the Eastern Time zone.
The Sales Development Manager will build, train, and mentor a team of sales development representatives to exceed quota, and collaborate with sales leadership to define, track, and report on key performance indicators for the team. They will partner with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to build and maintain workflows that enable effective sales development activities for account executives. Responsibilities also include interviewing, hiring, and training new team members, conducting regular meetings to provide feedback and coaching, and working with the operations team to improve business processes and team performance. Additionally, the manager will share insights with other sales leadership counterparts to optimize the team and scale operations.
