Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience (e.g., Communications, IT, or Engineering); combination of training and experience in lieu of degree
Typically minimum 8 years of relevant experience
Relevant experience in product sales, product management, or consulting
B2B sales experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically focused on Card Issuing products and services (preferred)
Understanding of products and services offered and how they can be leveraged to meet client needs, including business case justification, ROIs, and best practices
Prior sales experience or experience supporting technology products
Excellent communication and presentation skills (ability to present to IT teams, business teams, and executives)
Strong foundational knowledge in information technology (hardware, software, IT services)
Comprehensive business knowledge to create realistic sales projections
Negotiation skills (ability to close deals)
Ability to lead customers through the sales process, determine needs, and close sales
Interpersonal skills to liaise with other departments and people within the organization
Responsibilities
Generates revenue through sales to existing assigned accounts
Collects information to understand business issues, problems, opportunities, and identify sales opportunities
Prepares quantitative, qualitative, and financial data for pricing and sales presentations
For existing clients, conducts penetration analysis, reviews influencing factors and strategy to determine action plan (in partnership with Customer Success Managers)
Assesses customer's business, reviews solution options considering vision, goals, objectives, pain points, and target state; makes recommendations on products and services
Identifies and orchestrates internal resources (e.g., pricing, IT, implementation) to meet with clients at appropriate times based on objectives
Conducts ongoing communication with various internal groups
Understands industry dynamics, key market trends, and discusses current/developing products with clients; provides consultative thought leadership and possible solutions
In collaboration with Customer Success Managers and consulting team, assists with sales presentation and process (identifying objectives, setting agenda, following up on action items)
Responsible for closing sales, including complex deals and agreement negotiations (requires strong contracting and pricing skills, understanding of client contracts, revenue cannibalization risks)
