Requirements

Ability to create, drive, and implement holistic plant sanitation programs, policies, and procedures for plant, warehouse, and plant grounds
Knowledge of compliance with local, state, federal regulations, food safety policies, and procedures (including FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies)
Experience assessing and mitigating safety risks associated with construction and major maintenance
Ability to collaborate/coordinate with Facility Supervisor, Operations Leadership, Operations Associates, and Site Sanitation Crew
Capability to lead sanitation crew on all shifts
Skills in evaluating facility sanitary conditions, assessing risks based on food safety and public health principles, prioritizing corrective actions, and verifying sanitation activities and validation testing
Proficiency in evaluating monthly environmental samples for pathogenic organisms, trending results, and developing corrective actions
Knowledge of master cleaning schedule, cGMP guidelines, best practices, and requirements
Ability to develop and implement sanitation-related training for sanitation and plant employees
Ensuring safety requirements related to sanitation, including proper chemical storage, MSDS, PPE, and procedures

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and direction for plant sanitation in manufacturing operations, warehouse, and plant grounds
Implement food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance policies, procedures, and training
Assure compliance with all local, state, federal regulations and food safety policies/procedures
Act as sanitation support in assessing and mitigating safety risks for construction and major maintenance
Collaborate/coordinate with Facility Supervisor, Operations Leadership, Operations Associates, and Site Sanitation Crew to achieve Environmental Monitoring and Pest Control performance; may lead sanitation crew on all shifts
Evaluate facility sanitary conditions, assess risks, prioritize corrective actions, and verify sanitation activities/validation testing
Evaluate monthly environmental samples for pathogenic organisms, trend results, and develop corrective actions
Ensure conformance to master cleaning schedule and cGMP guidelines/best practices
Develop and implement sanitation-related training for sanitation and plant employees
Ensure all safety requirements for sanitation are met, including chemical storage, MSDS, PPE, and procedures
