A Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Science, or Sales is preferred. Successful history of time and territory management, successful sales performance and territory track record, or meeting/exceeding forecast are required. Attention to detail, critical thinking, experience using Sales Force.com or other CRM software, and experience with "Solution Selling" methodologies are also required. Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office are necessary. Frequent travel within the defined territory is required.
Manage the Nebraska territory to drive and support growth with Neogen Food Safety Products. Implement and execute business priorities, and deliver on financial and forecast expectations. Develop sales strategies and adjust to meet changing market and competitive conditions for complex product lines, working cross-functionally. Identify new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas, increasing revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services. Independently manage and grow business within a set geography, and expand market awareness of products and industry experience by communicating features and benefits effectively. Maintain records of customer communications and contact information, make technical presentations and webinars, and prepare responses to RFPs and RFIs. Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events. Research market requirements and data, maintain knowledge of competitor products, and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies. Maintain current Neogen product knowledge and demonstrate and explain best practices in installation techniques for all Neogen products.
