Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of product management experience, preferably in energy, grid operations, DER aggregation, or SaaS platforms. A technical understanding of distributed energy systems, hands-on experience with VPP operations and demand response, and familiarity with energy markets are essential. Strong systems thinking, workflow optimization skills, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities are also required.

Responsibilities

The Product Manager will contribute to and drive the roadmap for VPP operational automation and platform capabilities, focusing on automating manual workflows related to enrollments, dispatch planning, real-time monitoring, and post-event reporting. Responsibilities include coordinating and executing day-of operations for VPP events across various ISO/RTO markets, monitoring real-time performance, escalating issues, and building tooling to improve operational efficiency, scale, and effectiveness. The role also involves tracking and improving key performance indicators such as dispatch success rate, participation, DER utilization, operational turnaround time, and reporting efficiency.
