Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a leader to join our Sales & Marketing team. We provide lab tools efficiently and securely, blending science knowledge, teamwork, and resources. This role involves meeting sales targets, optimizing resource use, and managing staff effectively to drive growth and solve customer challenges.

How You Will Contribute

  • Lead Lab Products representatives to achieve bookings, revenue, profitability, and market share growth objectives.
  • Partner with colleagues to develop and implement commercial sales plans for the Empire territory to meet growth targets.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit product management teams to ensure clear communication of marketing and new product plans, representing customer needs in product development.
  • Manage sales forecasts for the district using Salesforce.com (SFDC) CRM.
  • Work with channel partners to drive bookings and revenue.
  • Employ and adopt PPI (Practical Process Improvement) to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage talent, including recruitment, selection, coaching, mentoring, training, development, and performance management of direct reports.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; Life Sciences, STEM, or Business preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of sales experience, preferably within the life sciences industry, with 2+ years in sales management strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Role model sales leadership with the ability to develop and motivate people at all levels.
    • Strong analytical skills to draw conclusions from market trends and unit analysis.
    • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with initiative and good business judgment.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 50%.

  • This position is eligible for variable compensation based on individual performance.
