Requirements

  • Min 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the domestic/transportation/Freight Forwarding industry
  • A progressive and proven track record of sales success
  • Demonstrated strong sales acumen and excellent negotiation skills
  • Experience in logistics freight sales would be an advantage
  • Ability to manage key decision makers
  • Relationship building capabilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field
  • Prefer candidates that are able to speak Mandarin due to business requirement

Responsibilities

  • Develop territory sales strategies and attract new customers to drive profit and revenue growth, with main focus on LTL and palletized revenue
  • Identify new businesses in freight sales (LTL), follow up on potential sales opportunities, manage lead qualification and generation through calls, and convert prospect leads into accounts, emphasizing those with maximum revenue potential
  • Execute sales strategies to secure competitor business in major and key account portfolios
  • Conduct customer visits, meetings, and attend related events
  • Evaluate customer needs and prepare proposals to secure new business opportunities
  • Maintain a rigorous follow-up process to build relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Coordinate with different departments on lead initiatives
  • Develop strong customer relationships and grow wallet share
  • Act as the customer’s point of contact to ensure queries, problems, or issues are dealt with appropriately, coordinating with cross-functions
  • Provide market insights from current market trends on competitor service, pricing, and operational capabilities
  • Ensure updated industry trends are shared with the commercial team for clarity on product and solution fit
  • Ensure close coordination with sales and operations team members
  • Maintain good relationships and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure smooth processes without impacting day-to-day operations
  • Work closely with product specialists/Project Managers and the core operations team to create an atmosphere for timely and high-quality work products
  • Participate in customer meetings and assist in determining effective solutions to aid sales conversion
  • Demonstrate strong solutioning capabilities and work closely with the project team to secure freight sales business via close project management governance
  • Work with cross-functions to identify the right solutions
  • Continually develop knowledge of products/services, project/program management, commercial, and operational awareness to provide the best solutions for customers
