Inbound Solar Energy Consultant

Position Overview

GoodLeap is seeking a motivated and customer-centric Inbound Solar Energy Consultant to join our fully virtual team. This role is crucial in assisting homeowners in adopting sustainable energy solutions by educating them on the benefits of residential solar. You will guide customers through the sales process, help them select the best solar programs, and ensure a smooth installation experience by collaborating with our trusted contractors.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively cross-sell Goodleap products to existing customers.
  • Educate prospective customers on the advantages of residential solar energy.
  • Employ a consultative sales approach to guide customers through their purchase journey, promoting the GoodLeap brand and mission.
  • Utilize advanced technologies to prepare and review solar proposals for potential customers.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales and installation phases.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to contribute to the company's growth and success.
  • Consistently achieve daily, weekly, and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of residential solar sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Skills:
    • Strong relationship management skills.
    • Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to customers.
    • Positive, energetic demeanor with excellent listening, reading, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency with standard corporate productivity tools (MS Office, internet navigation, CRM applications).
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes:
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and contribute to a common goal.
    • A track record of high integrity, honesty, and ethical sales practices.
  • Licenses: Home Improvement Salesperson License required.

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $16 - $18 /hour
