As an Energy Efficiency Engineering Lead, you will help customers reduce energy consumption and save money at their facilities by identifying potential energy savings measures, quantifying and summarizing project economics, supporting project implementation, and verifying installation. Requirements
- Strong background in Utility Engineering
- Experience with prescriptive, custom, and meter-based energy efficiency projects
- Familiarity with PA and CPUC guidelines
- Ability to conduct site audits and energy modeling
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets and/or energy modeling software
- Experience with medium to large commercial facilities (high-tech, biotech, labs, healthcare, private institutions etc.)
- Understanding of facility energy using systems (lighting, HVAC, compressed air, refrigeration, process heating, motors, central plant, boiler plant, pumping, fuel substitution etc.)
- Ability to write technical reports (PFS, IR) summarizing project economics
Responsibilities
- Supports implementation of energy efficiency projects in adherence to PA and CPUC guidelines.
- Conducts energy analysis for projects at medium to large commercial facilities.
- Identifies and recommends energy efficiency improvements in various facility systems.
- Serves as the primary point of contact with customers on the technical side.
- Participates in client calls to discuss projects and provide technical details.
- Writes technical reports summarizing project economics (energy savings, cost savings, project cost, potential incentive, simple payback, etc.).
- Conducts measurement and verification (M&V) site visits.
- Installs field monitoring equipment / data loggers (as needed).
- Collects BAS trend data and obtains BAS screenshots and equipment photos.
