High school diploma or equivalent GED is required, along with 2-4 years of experience as a medical assistant, office assistant, or other clinical experience. Proficiency in using Aetna systems such as QNXT, ProFAX, ProPAT, Faxhub, and MedCompass is necessary.
The Inbound/Outbound Queue Associate supports the coordination of medical services, including intake, screening, and referrals to Aetna Medical Services Programs. Responsibilities include performing intake of calls, utilizing Aetna systems to manage member information, screening requests, approving services, performing non-medical research, maintaining documentation, promoting communication with internal and external parties, protecting member confidentiality, and supporting the precertification process by placing outbound calls to providers for clinical information.
