The Growth Sales Representative is an individual contributor role focused on renewing, up-selling, and cross-selling contracts for an assigned territory through various channels, including direct sales and partners. This role emphasizes managing existing named accounts, driving retention, and expanding business at the time of renewal. Success will be achieved by ensuring customer awareness and utilization of existing products, proactive outreach to identify expansion opportunities, and close collaboration with our partner ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a territory of approximately 60 existing Alteryx Customers throughout their customer lifecycle, focusing on renewal and expansion. This includes conducting business value justification meetings, navigating complex procurement processes, and negotiating timely renewals with expansion opportunities.
  • Possess strong business acumen to understand fundamental business case principles, with the ability to capture and articulate ROI to C-suite executives and internal leadership.
  • Effectively network and expand relationships with executives and senior business sponsors to identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding and executing against customer business goals and objectives.
  • Accurately forecast projected revenue attainment to sales management on a weekly basis.
  • Recognize and escalate challenging technical or business issues within Sales, Customer Support, and other organizational departments to facilitate prompt sales closure and optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively drive software usage growth and enable customer success through product education, new feature introductions, use-case development, account reviews, escalated support needs, and other engagement opportunities.
  • Leverage the full Alteryx Alliances and Channels Ecosystem to execute Go-To-Market (GTM) Plans, driving pre-sales, sales, retention, expansion, and customer enablement through co-sell and re-sell motions.
  • Approximately 25% travel is expected for customer visits, internal conferences, and meetings.
  • Maintain a 3X pipeline coverage, a monthly forecast, and consistently achieve quarterly quotas.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales or Relationship Management (RM) roles.
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in SaaS retention and sales processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of value-driven sales methodologies.
  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to achieve resolutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and professionally.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in building strong relationships with diverse personas, including business users, management, IT, and executive levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership by tackling problems and taking independent action.
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence and effectively navigate objections to achieve win-win customer outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relationship Managers (RMs) are encouraged to apply.
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience in sales.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred.
