About the Role

As an Enterprise Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling Altium's platform to a set of named target accounts. This role involves direct engagement with C-suite and director-level personas within enterprise clients and contributing to the development of a successful Enterprise Sales team. The position is crucial for the company's continued success, requiring a proactive individual with innovative ideas.

A Day in The Life of Our Enterprise Account Manager

  • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of assigned Enterprise customers, managing onboarding, ongoing account management, and the long-term retention and growth of relationships and revenue.
  • Identify and communicate customer readiness levels, requirements, schedules, and risks to ensure forecasted revenue is met or exceeded.
  • Serve as the team's internal expert in a particular vertical.
  • Build and maintain long-term, successful customer relationships by demonstrating empathy, active listening, and resilience.
  • Exhibit sound business judgment, evaluate alternatives, and make successful recommendations.
  • Negotiate effectively, both before and after contract signing.
  • Communicate excellently in writing and verbally, including crafting and presenting professional presentations at all levels.
  • Manage the execution of significant or complex contracts, including intake, renegotiation, and scheduling.
  • Manage and update the pipeline of opportunities within Salesforce.
  • Travel as needed to customer sites and meetings.

What You’ll Need For This Position

  • 6+ years of business development or account management experience.
  • Fluent in German.
  • Fluent in French is a plus.
  • 6+ years of experience supporting a technical product/service with customers.
  • Proven experience in building long-term, successful customer relationships through empathy, active listening, and resilience.
  • Significant technical knowledge of design software or related technology.
  • Ability to synthesize unique requirements and suggest appropriate solutions, products, or features.
  • Demonstrated track record of sound business judgment, evaluating alternatives, and making successful recommendations.
  • Ability to negotiate successfully.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft and present professional presentations at all levels.
  • Experience in the technology industry is strongly preferred; experience selling Software as a Service (SaaS) products will also be considered.
  • Availability and willingness to travel as needed to customer sites and meetings.
