Position Overview

Confluent is revolutionizing data streaming, enabling companies to react faster, build smarter, and deliver dynamic experiences. We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to drive sales activities and customer acquisition in Malaysia. This role is crucial for developing and executing our go-to-market strategy in the region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling complex Database, Messaging, Big Data, Open Source, and/or SaaS solutions to large corporate and multinational organizations.

About the Role

The Enterprise Account Executive will be instrumental in growing Confluent's customer base in Malaysia. You will be responsible for building awareness for Kafka and Confluent, actively prospecting, and developing a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed revenue targets. Building strong relationships within the Enterprise space and with Confluent Partners is key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Build awareness for Kafka and Confluent within the Malaysian market.
• Actively prospect, identify, qualify, and develop sales pipeline in Malaysia.
• Contribute to the Enterprise revenue generation efforts.
• Close business to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings objectives.
• Build strong and effective relationships within the Enterprise space, leading to growth opportunities.
• Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing Confluent Partners.
• Create and execute go-to-market plans focused on viral methods and organic growth.

Requirements

• 15+ years of Enterprise sales experience in the Technology space.
• Deep experience selling within the Database, Open Source, Messaging, or Big Data space into the Malaysian Enterprise market.
• Ability to articulate and sell the business value of big data and its impact on businesses of all sizes.
• Experience selling to Software Developers or Technology leaders, including C-Suite Executives.
• Experience working in a sales role within a high-growth organization.
