  • Salary: £197,500 - £197,500 GBP (On-Target Earnings - OTE, inclusive of base salary and variable compensation)

Tailscale is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to join its rapidly growing Sales team. This role is crucial in helping large clients and prospects evaluate, purchase, and expand their use of Tailscale to meet evolving networking, security, and compliance objectives. The Enterprise Account Executive will collaborate closely with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Support, Marketing, and Product teams. Tailscale is a fast-growing, fully distributed company backed by prominent investors, focused on building a secure and easy-to-use Internet.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of closing experience in a sales role.
  • Strong desire to join a high-growth software startup in a fully remote role.
  • Experience selling developer and/or technical products, particularly within a product-led growth (PLG) motion.
  • Proven ability to present to senior managers and executives.
  • Skill in managing multiple opportunities simultaneously across various sales stages, with a strong track record of exceeding quota.
  • Experience using sales enablement tools like Gong, or similar, for internal collaboration and pipeline management.
  • Experience collaborating with Sales Engineers on sales cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Build a credible pipeline each quarter through a land-and-expand strategy.
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Educate customers on the value proposition of Tailscale during their evaluation and adoption process.
  • Generate short-term sales results while maintaining long-term pipeline coverage.
  • Provide accurate weekly forecasts and ensure revenue delivery.
  • Develop mutual action/success plans with prospective and existing customers.
  • Manage a book of business consisting of 50% existing clients and 50% new accounts.
