Candidates must have at least 4+ years of experience in customer-facing roles within a professional services firm, preferably with a management consulting or "Big Four" consulting organization. Experience managing large billable projects for external customers, utilizing formal project management tools, and understanding modern services deployment methodologies, particularly in software design and development, is required. A passion for web-based technologies and a desire to understand Smartsheet's offerings are essential. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to interact with CxO-level personnel. A Bachelor's degree in MIS, CIS, CS, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience is required, with Lean or Six Sigma certification being desirable.
The Engagement Manager will ensure the success of strategic customers by designing and leading transformative projects, acting as a trusted advisor, and mentoring teams. They will partner with account and sales teams to contribute to pre-sales scoping, develop implementation proposals, and maintain executive relationships during billable engagements. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet time, budget, and deliverable targets, managing project P&L, driving project reviews, and overseeing the transition from pre-sales to delivery. The role involves mitigating critical customer concerns, ensuring quality and time management processes are followed, documenting best practices, and serving as a frontline resource for customer queries and best practices.
