Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role, with at least 5 years of people management experience, including mentoring, coaching, and developing teams. A minimum of 5 years of experience selling professional services, encompassing project scoping, statement of work creation, and pricing, is required. Extensive knowledge of large-scale database technologies such as Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, and Greenplum, along with experience with non-relational platforms like Hadoop and HBase, is necessary. Familiarity with data integration and transformation tools like Informatica, DataStage, Talend, and Matillion, as well as BI and data exploration tools such as Microstrategy, Business Objects, and Tableau, is also required. A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is needed. Scripting experience with Python, Ruby, Perl, or Bash is preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Consulting Manager, the individual will lead and develop a team of Solutions Architects and Consultants, providing technical expertise on Snowflake and guiding them in developing their skills. They will actively participate in sourcing and screening candidates, managing the interview process, and serving as a technical expert on all aspects of Snowflake. The role involves overseeing delivery quality, ensuring adherence to best practices, collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake's products, and presenting methodologies to internal and external stakeholders. They will work with Professional Services Practice Directors and Sales Account Teams on sales pursuits, including scoping migration projects, creating statements of work, and providing guidance on resolving customer challenges. The Consulting Manager will also be responsible for developing methodologies to improve services delivery and providing guidance on how to resolve customer-specific technical challenges, while also collaborating with customers and system integrators to understand requirements and design robust migration strategies.
