Requirements

The ideal candidate will have proven years of experience in a technical sales, engineering, commercial operations, business development, or client engagement role. A strong background and expertise in the relevant energy industry or subsea & flexible pipe industry sector are required, along with a proven track record of successfully leading technical engagements, tendering activities, flexible pipe systems contract negotiation, and driving business growth. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, a proactive and results-driven approach, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a willingness to travel are also essential.

Responsibilities

The Technical Early Engagement Manager will lead the technical early engagement process with clients, develop strong relationships, and ensure alignment between client needs and technical solutions for a specific region. This role involves contributing to the early engagement strategy, capture planning, and long-term deal prioritization. Responsibilities include overseeing early engagement studies, partner selections, tendering activities, contract finalizations, and project mobilizations in close partnership with sales teams and project managers. The manager will influence customer choices, translate customer drivers and tender requirements into winning strategies, and collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain functions. They will also support industry events and focus on both offshore and onshore applications.
