Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Sales Development, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles. A proven track record of exceeding pipeline targets while leading inbound and outbound teams is essential, along with deep knowledge of prospecting strategies, lead qualification processes, and sales development best practices. Strong experience with sales tech stack, including CRM, sales engagement, intent data, and prospecting tools, is required, as are excellent coaching, communication, and organizational skills with executive presence. A data- and metrics-driven approach to performance management and strategy is also necessary. Familiarity with selling into Audit, Compliance, Risk, or adjacent markets, and experience leveraging AI-powered tools are considered nice to have.
The Director of Sales Development will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of inbound and outbound Sales Development Representatives and Managers, fostering a culture of accountability and performance excellence. They will own the strategy and execution for inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting programs, implementing best practices and workflows to maximize rep productivity. This role involves leveraging modern sales technologies, monitoring key performance metrics, and optimizing for impact to drive consistent attainment of pipeline targets. The Director will partner closely with Marketing on lead scoring and inbound funnel optimization, collaborate with Sales leadership on pipeline quality and handoff, and partner with senior leadership on team compensation, incentives, and career progression pathways. They will also oversee onboarding and enablement programs, partnering with Sales Enablement for ongoing training.
