Requirements

Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in logistics, fulfillment, or global supply chain operations with demonstrated leadership experience. A proven track record of building and developing teams, managing global freight and 3PL networks, and a customer-first mindset with a focus on reliability, responsiveness, and quality of service are required. Strong understanding of export compliance, HTS/ECCN classification, dangerous goods handling, and duty drawback programs is essential. Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills are necessary, with experience in fast-paced, hardware, or high-growth environments being strongly preferred. The role requires willingness to work onsite five days a week in San Mateo, CA.

Responsibilities

The Director of Global Operations & Fulfillment will lead outbound freight operations, optimizing for cost, speed, and service, and manage the Fulfillment team responsible for order processing, shipping, returns, RMAs, and spare parts logistics. This role includes overseeing and managing the network of 3PL partners in the U.S. and abroad, owning fulfillment-related customer support processes, and managing inbound freight from global manufacturers to global warehouses. Additionally, the Director will oversee all trade compliance functions, including import/export processes, ECCN/HTS classification, and duty drawback programs, while identifying and implementing tools and scalable processes to increase team productivity, operational visibility, and reduce manual overhead.
