Requirements

The candidate should have experience leading cross-functional teams and a proven track record in operations strategy and optimization, specifically within fulfillment systems and inventory management. Experience with WMS, OMS, labor management, and automation integrations is necessary, along with expertise in developing and implementing inventory strategies and packaging operations. A strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, data analysis, and team leadership is also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director of Operations Strategy and Optimization will own the end-to-end strategy and configuration of core fulfillment systems, including WMS, OMS, labor management, scanning tools, and automation integrations. They will translate operational needs into scalable workflows, collaborate with Product & Engineering on the systems roadmap, and oversee testing, deployment, and training for new system features. This role involves leading the onboarding of new fulfillment centers, driving consistency across company-owned and 3PL sites, and developing tooling for various workflows. Additionally, they will develop and implement a comprehensive inventory strategy, lead packaging execution, and champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements. The position also includes building and managing a high-performing team across fulfillment systems, inventory, packaging, and continuous improvement.
