Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of sales, marketing, or operations experience in a technical SaaS/CPaaS space with a proven record of high performance. A strong understanding or keen interest in the cloud computing/communications business model is essential, along with a passion for selling to technical audiences using a solution-oriented approach. A deep personal interest in the social impact market and a desire to dedicate your career to making a positive difference are crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, enabling the ability to simplify complex technical and financial information. Prior experience in technical solutions selling, including closing deals, and a genuine enjoyment of problem-solving with customers are necessary. High adaptability and a comfort level with experimentation and building are also key qualifications.

Responsibilities

The Digital Sales Representative will be responsible for qualifying and nurturing leads for Twilio.org’s Self-Service and Named Account customers across various nonprofit sectors, including community & social services, healthcare, traditional NGOs, humanitarian aid, and credit unions. This role involves driving net new customer acquisition and generating new revenue while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will manage entire sales cycles, close new revenue for Twilio.org accounts, and oversee your assigned account list, addressing any arising issues. Responsibilities include understanding customer business and technical requirements, comprehending Twilio’s communications API platform capabilities to design solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Sales Development, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Support to meet customer needs. You will advise on digital communication strategies and assist customers in adopting the Twilio platform. Additionally, you will take ownership to drive deals forward, overcome obstacles for customers and internally, identify optimal solutions, and recommend process improvements. Developing expertise in the social impact and nonprofit market to demonstrate how Twilio’s platform can scale missions is also a key duty. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to convey complex information simply and the ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects or deals concurrently.
