Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships in the tech or consulting industry
  • Proven track record of identifying, developing, and closing complex business opportunities
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT, cloud, AI, or digital transformation solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand client goals and align them with IBM solutions
  • Business fluency in Dutch
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with or within IBM’s ecosystem or familiarity with IBM’s technology portfolio
  • Industry expertise in sectors such as financial services, healthcare, retail, or manufacturing
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Familiarity with partner/channel development strategies

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments within assigned territory or industry vertical
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, including C-level executives
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, technical teams, and IBM partners to craft and deliver compelling value propositions
  • Understand client challenges, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to position IBM solutions effectively
  • Manage the full business development cycle—from prospecting and opportunity qualification to contract negotiation and closing
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new offerings and collaborate on account planning and execution
  • Track business development activities and pipeline progress using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Meet or exceed revenue and growth targets through strategic and consultative selling
