Requirements

Candidates must have over 4 years of sales experience, including at least 1 year in a BDR Manager or Team Lead role. They should possess a proven ability to build and manage outbound sales functions using a player/coach model and have a strong history of sourcing high-value, upmarket B2B deals. Comfort with various outbound methods such as cold-calling, in-person events, gifting, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) is essential, as is a data-driven approach to analyzing conversion rates, ROI, and pipeline attribution. Experience in fintech, broker/dealer, API-first SaaS, or financial infrastructure is preferred. Nice-to-have qualifications include an understanding of the brokerage and financial services industries and a FINRA Series 7 license.

Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will lead outbound pipeline generation for the Broker API business, acting as a player-coach by directly prospecting and building/managing a global BDR function. This role involves crafting and executing multi-channel outbound sales campaigns, including email, cold calling, in-person engagement, events, and strategic gifting, with accountability for building a repeatable, high-quality outbound engine. Responsibilities include managing daily BDR execution, instituting team rituals, ramping, training, and coaching BDRs on new playbooks and strategies, and reviewing individual performance against clear KPIs. The manager will also partner with Account Executives for smooth lead handoff, build dashboards to track outbound performance, collaborate with Marketing on logo-specific campaigns, and develop the Outbound Playbook as a living process document.
