Candidates must have at least 1 year of quota-carrying sales experience as an Outbound BDR or similar role at a SaaS company, with a proven track record of achievement and a desire to build a career in sales. Strong relationship-building, communication, time management, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with excellent phone presence and proficiency in Salesforce and other sales enablement tools. Startup or people tech experience is a plus.
The Business Development Representative will proactively source, engage, and qualify strategic prospects to generate pipeline and create qualified opportunities for the sales team. They will engage with potential clients through calls, emails, LinkedIn, texts, and live chat to create new business opportunities, run qualification calls, and articulate how Deputy can meet customer needs. Responsibilities also include taking rigorous notes, maintaining CRM data cleanliness, and consistently meeting established quota targets to contribute to revenue growth.
