Regional Account Manager - North London

Employment Type: Full-time Location: North London, United Kingdom (Remote) Travel: Yes, 75% of the Time


Position Overview

Abbott is a global healthcare leader dedicated to creating breakthrough science to improve people’s health. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio covers key health and therapeutic areas including infectious disease, cardiometabolic, informatics, and toxicology. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Regional Account Manager (RAM) to manage the North London territory. The RAM will be responsible for cultivating and managing Abbott Point of Care (APOC) relationships with all key stakeholders within the defined geographic territory. This role carries the commercial responsibility for executing a business strategy and plan to meet and exceed the geography’s commercial and financial goals.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the APOC relationship with all stakeholders in the assigned geography.
  • Lead the strategic sales process, collaborating with other team members as appropriate.
  • Provide effective, appropriate, and timely written and verbal communication to customers.
  • Maintain the local customer database and customer relationship management system.
  • Manage pricing within preset limits and provide feedback on competitive products and market pricing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant healthcare markets and current i-STAT products and product areas.
  • Provide post-sales support and installation as appropriate within the territory.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven ability to engage clinicians and clinical end-users in discussions regarding process and product benefits and utilization.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the existing territory, throughout the country, and internationally as appropriate.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the local peer group to provide input on regional strategy.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong follow-up abilities and the capacity to adjust priorities without confusion.
  • Exceptional communication skills, comfortable in one-on-one interactions, group presentations, and negotiations.
  • Significant relevant healthcare sales experience (e.g., Medical Products, Medical Devices, IVDs, Disposables).
  • Demonstrated history of progressively senior sales roles in Healthcare.
  • Experience in multi-stakeholder strategic sales.
  • Degree level education or significant relevant experience.
