Your Role at Baxter

  • Represent Baxter and its products with confidence and a keen understanding of their value.
  • Build trust and establish strong relationships with doctors and nurses on location.
  • Act as the primary connection to healthcare professionals, providing insights and feedback to cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate with teams to understand how they work together to drive business results.

  • Be aligned to a region within Baxter’s Surgical Business unit, responsible for new business, developing existing accounts, and ensuring a patient-centric approach.
  • Work within an assigned geographic area with a team of Sales Consultants to achieve business goals.
  • Provide input on new markets and products, handle customer concerns, and collaborate with other teams.

Responsibilities

  • Understand all products, surgical specialties, and devices within the Surgical Portfolio.
  • Support and promote the Surgical Portfolio in an assigned geography to meet customer's clinical and economic needs, with primary call points including surgeons, nurses, and operating room staff.
  • Engage with the existing customer base, following up for incremental purchases, addressing pricing/delivery issues, and providing overall support to improve their experience.
  • Independently formulate and implement selling strategies to sell products of intermediate complexity directly to customers via phone and on-site visits.
  • Establish and communicate the portfolio’s competitive differentiation to assist customers in product selection.
  • Schedule and complete customer sales calls to meet quotas and follow up on opportunities to develop the business.
  • Conduct extensive prospecting and lead generation.

Location and Travel

  • Location Type: Field based
  • Ideal Candidate Location: Connecticut
  • Travel: Up to 75% within the assigned territory.
