About the Role

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing Garner's mid-market (100-500 lives) client portfolio. This role emphasizes relationship management, understanding client needs, and day-to-day client operations. As the primary point of contact for key client stakeholders and brokers, the Account Manager's main objective is to ensure client success and retention within this market segment. This role will collaborate closely with the Strategic Accounts team and other cross-functional departments to advance Garner's mission and reports to the Director of Account Management (Mid-Market).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Garner delivers an excellent client experience to the assigned book of business.
  • Execute key workflows and monitor client health to support clients.
  • Track client success KPIs, escalate areas of concern, and mitigate risks by developing and executing action plans.
  • Implement best practice standards and workflows to enhance client satisfaction, engagement, and ROI, driving retention.
  • Manage strong day-to-day relationships with brokers and clients.
  • Communicate regularly with key decision-makers and broker partners to understand ongoing needs.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, and member services teams to meet client engagement goals and ensure satisfaction with Garner's service.
  • Develop client reports, meeting materials, and workshops as needed.
  • Travel up to 15% of the time.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing and growing a high-performing B2B book of business with a track record of delivering impactful results year over year in the healthcare and benefits industry.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting clients to increase engagement and maximize the value of a SaaS solution.
  • Passion for delivering an excellent client experience and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate vision or strategy and inspire adoption and change.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, rapidly evolving, and fast-paced startup environment with significant upside potential.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to ownership and driving execution of key initiatives to serve clients and the business.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and brokers in the health and welfare space.
  • A desire to contribute to Garner's mission of improving the healthcare system.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $60,000 - $84,000.
  • Commission eligible.
  • Eligible for equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.
