Requirements

Candidates must possess a university degree and be willing to travel up to 80% of the time. Strong business planning, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Effective business planning and prioritization, strategic solution-oriented thinking, and successful leveraging of cross-functional teams and resources are essential. The ability to quickly build trust and alliances with distributors and customers, understanding their short and long-term needs and offering mutually beneficial solutions, is crucial. Proficiency in simplifying complexity and developing best practices, along with intelligent, refined, and professional interpersonal skills, is necessary. A results-oriented approach with the ability to anticipate sales dips and implement contingency plans is expected. Preferred qualifications include over 5 years of experience in capital equipment sales or multi-stakeholder environments, developing and selling customized solutions to high-level laboratory leaders and C-suite executives, and a proven track record in strategic sales, including meeting and exceeding targets and turning around underperforming territories.

Responsibilities

The Account Executive will manage the entire lifecycle of new business opportunities, collaborating with client decision-makers to improve performance through Abbott's core diagnostics portfolio. They will drive market share growth by identifying opportunities within their assigned territory and developing them into new business prospects. Once a new account is closed, they will oversee its implementation and ongoing maintenance, ensuring high standards of service quality, contract fulfillment, and customer loyalty. For non-enterprise segment accounts, they will manage and lead the renewal process to ensure client retention and satisfaction. This role involves understanding client objectives and goals through strong relationship-building skills with multiple stakeholders, including laboratory, purchasing, medical directors, clinical engineering, and C-suite executives, and identifying and quantifying the impact of Abbott's solutions.
