Position Overview

As a Sales Consultant for Capital Equipment, you will be responsible for selling our full operation room capital equipment product line portfolio. Your role will involve increasing new sales within your territory, developing and refining sales plans, and coordinating with technical and applications support resources. You will work from a home office, focusing on growing the sales of our surgical capital equipment and connected solutions throughout your territory. A deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to articulate product differentiators are key to customer success.

Home Base: Candidates should reside in New Jersey Territory: New Jersey Travel: Up to 60%, including overnight travel

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic sales of capital products within all surgical solutions' product categories (lights, booms, surgical tables, operating room integration, and partnership sales) within your given territory.
  • Partner with clinical consultants, dedicated product specialists, construction solution architects, corporate and strategic accounts, and product management to offer customers comprehensive end-to-end solutions, including large integrated health system customers (IDNs).
  • Execute the full sales cycle, including opportunity prioritization, accurate forecasting, qualification of large, sophisticated sales, preparation for customer presentations, professional follow-up, and goal attainment.
  • Utilize data to identify key opportunities, requiring keen analytical proficiencies.
  • Implement consultative selling, uncovering unmet needs and fostering a solution-driven environment.
  • Leverage marketing communications to build efficient promotional, advertising, and trade show activity to improve company and product visibility.
  • Demonstrate year-over-year backlog growth by uncovering greenfield opportunities and high-dollar renovations within your assigned territory.
  • Ensure our Surgical Solutions' product portfolio is specified at all early stages to drive sales orders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3+ years of outside sales experience (medical device capital equipment experience preferred).
  • Alternatively, 8+ years of relevant sales experience.
