Job Description

Believe is seeking a VP, USA – Label Solutions to spearhead its expansion in the United States. In collaboration with the President Label & Artist Solutions and the Global Head of Music, this role will be responsible for:

  • Conceiving the long-term sales strategy per music segment and defining the value proposition.
  • Leading complex sales conversations to achieve annual revenue targets.
  • Overseeing the service team to ensure client value maximization.
  • Focusing on the growth and profitability of the business.

Believe is looking for an experienced music professional with deep connections within the US music ecosystem, capable of growing, scaling, and motivating high-output teams. The ideal candidate will cultivate a creative and music-passionate culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Vision & Strategy

  • Define and lead priority market segments and value proposition.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting for global revenue.
  • Identify, target, and close new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Central platform to define the M&A strategy.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and market trends through in-depth data analysis.

Sales and Client Satisfaction

  • Lead complex sales discussions with clients.
  • Set and deliver on commercial targets, strategic account conversions, target pricing, and other financial objectives.
  • Collaborate across all business functions (finance, product) to optimize sales conditions.

Team Management

  • Manage a team of sales and marketing services professionals dedicated to labels.
  • Understand and project value creation for artists and labels.

Qualifications

  • 12-15+ years of leadership experience in the US Music ecosystem, preferably with labels across various genres.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to combine a strong entrepreneurial approach with global corporate requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate and foster a culture of continuous improvement aligned with Believe’s guiding principles.
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to take on greater responsibilities and contribute to overall goals in an autonomous environment.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute: Develop coherent, forward-looking strategies to create new business opportunities.
  • An experienced leader, inspiring teams to high performance with a proven ability to attract top talent and develop/mentor high performers for growth roles.

  • Experience working within diverse companies and understanding their dynamics.
