Candidates should have over 3 years of experience providing technical customer support in a B2B SaaS company, with a demonstrated track record of prompt and compassionate customer care. Required skills include strong written and verbal communication, container orchestration knowledge (Kubernetes, Ansible), and the ability to solve problems using Linux systems, command-line navigation, shell scripting, programming languages, logging, and orchestration tools. Familiarity with Regex, distributed data stores like Kafka, data shipping services, cloud administration, directory servers, authentication providers, and virtualization such as Docker are considered bonus points. The ideal candidate possesses a deep love of learning, a passion for problem-solving, the ability to educate while problem-solving, deep empathy for users, competence in ticket tracking and handling, and a demonstrated ability to work independently with an eye for detail.
The Technical Support Engineer will manage and resolve customer tickets in a timely manner, leveraging product and domain knowledge for faster resolution. They will manage urgent customer issues, participate in a PagerDuty rotation, and assist teammates by mentoring junior members. Responsibilities also include developing new troubleshooting techniques and processes, contributing to internal and customer-facing documentation, and working cross-functionally to diagnose and debug operations-related problems. The role involves escalating and resolving issues with Tier 3, Product, and Engineering teams, and assisting support leadership in improving customer operations' speed and efficacy.
