Position Overview

NIQ is seeking a Technical Solution & Support Engineer to join our dynamic technology teams. You will be an integral part of the team working on our new "Connect" platform, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients worldwide depend on NielsenIQ’s data and insights for innovation and growth. As a Technical Solution & Support Engineer, you will collaborate with highly skilled technologists passionate about learning and prototyping cutting-edge technologies within an agile, co-located team structure with hubs in Chicago, Madrid, Israel, Toronto, and Chennai.


Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise-level technical external and internal support to customers and prospects via a support ticketing system, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve customer technical issues.
  • Collaborate internally to support the technical onboarding of new customers, including user setup and configuration.
  • Monitor and validate automated data processes.
  • Document knowledge and assist in educating colleagues and teammates on technical cases.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features and functionality.
  • Participate in a rotating Friday shift approximately every 1 to 1.5 months.

Requirements

  • Must-have: Proven experience providing technical support or being part of an implementation team.
  • Must-have: Strong SQL background.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Great written and verbal client communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Willingness to work outside of business hours from time to time.
  • Team spirit, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to manage multiple interfaces and tasks in a dynamic environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Linux systems, utilities, and scripting.
  • Experience supporting an analytic product in a SaaS environment.
  • Development skills.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes.
  • Business orientation, specifically within the Retailer domain.
