Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, along with experience operating large-scale, business-critical Linux environments. Strong experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or Salt, and/or proficiency in Ruby is required. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of making sound decisions, particularly under pressure, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

As a Database Reliability Engineer III, the individual will maintain a deep understanding of data components including Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, and utilize that knowledge to operate and automate properly configured clusters. They will develop infrastructure services to support the CrowdStrike engineering team’s pursuit of a full DevOps model, troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues, ensure the safety, security, and availability of petabytes of critical business data, and work closely with Engineering and Customer Support teams.
