Position Overview

  • Location Type: Hybrid (New York City office)
  • Job Type: Contract (Projected 6 months)
  • Salary: $30 - $40 per hour

Maven is seeking an IT Support Engineer for their IT Team in the New York City office. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and supporting Maven’s computer systems, applications, and network, providing day-to-day support to the IT team and Maven users.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of first-level IT/helpdesk support experience.
  • Located in the NYC area and willing to work full-time in the office.
  • Experience with Google Workspace products (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, etc.) and administration.
  • macOS support experience.
  • Experience with help desk support solutions such as FreshService.
  • Experience deploying macOS upgrades/updates.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experiences and Backgrounds

  • Technical education/degree, or equivalent working experience.
  • Some experience with Jamf software and Apple device management.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira, Opsgenie, Jira Service Management).
  • Knowledge of security products and concepts (anti-malware, anti-spam, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 technical support to internal users.
  • Triage incoming IT requests, escalate tickets to Level 2, and monitor SLA policies.
  • Support products such as Google Workspace, FreshService, Okta, Slack, Zoom, Jira, and Jamf.
  • Maintain asset management of Macbooks and IT inventory.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees and contractors (accounts, access, assets).
  • Support the Maven office environment, including events, conference rooms, user stations, printers, and network.
  • Assist with contractor lifecycle management.
  • Aid the IT team with new and ongoing projects.
