Requirements

Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in inside sales, pre-sales engineering, or technical support within a fast-paced B2B environment. Experience in industrial automation, robotics, hardware, or manufacturing is highly preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in CRM systems like HubSpot or Salesforce and lead routing workflows. Detail-orientation, excellent note-taking habits, and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous requests are also required. Experience supporting or selling complex hardware/software systems and a natural curiosity about automation are considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Technical Account Executive will serve as the initial technical point of contact for prospective customers, qualifying inbound leads, capturing discovery notes, and guiding prospects through the early buying stages. Responsibilities include responding promptly to sales inquiries, conducting discovery calls to assess technical feasibility and customer goals, and maintaining detailed CRM notes. The role involves routing qualified leads to appropriate teams, providing initial technical Q&A, and collaborating with marketing to offer feedback on lead quality. Additionally, the AE will assist in creating technical sales collateral, maintaining response time SLAs, analyzing lead patterns, and performing light demo walkthroughs. They will support the lead handoff process, reduce friction in early-stage conversion, and stay updated on product capabilities and deployment scenarios, while championing a positive first impression of Standard Bots.
