Position Overview

This is a full-time, remote position focused on developing and maintaining strong client relationships with OEM customers and potentially distributor accounts, while meeting position objectives. The role involves prioritizing opportunities to maximize sales and margin results by ensuring products are specified.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with OEM customers and potentially distributor accounts, meeting position objectives.
  • Ensure products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing opportunities on an account-by-account basis for optimum sales and margin results.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits.
  • Stay current with internal and external training and development.
  • Obtain specifications and approvals at engineering firms, major accounts, and/or distributors to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their market activity, providing regular (monthly) reports.
  • Keep management informed of changes affecting product distribution and participate in developing and implementing response strategies.
  • Assist divisions in planning strategy to provide required products and services for assigned accounts.
  • Actively support cross-divisional and other group products through proper referrals.
  • Provide product training at distributor and customer levels.
  • Motivate and provide sales direction to distributors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3+ years of Sales and/or Applications Engineering experience.
  • Experience in Direct and/or Distributor sales is considered.
  • Must have experience selling Automation products such as: Controllers, PLCs, Motors, Actuators, Cylinders, Drives, Sensors, Regulators, and/or Robotics.
  • Ability to serve general Industrial clients including Mobile EV, Life Science, Semiconductor, Warehouse, etc.
  • Ability to work from a home office and travel as needed.
