As a Strategic Sales Director, you will be responsible for managing dbt Labs’ enterprise customer base. This role requires a proactive and curious individual to identify new business opportunities and drive growth for existing clients. You’ll be a key member of the growing Sales team, leveraging your sales expertise and understanding of complex technical concepts to build strong relationships with stakeholders across analytics organizations.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in technology sales
  • Sales Performance: Proven track record of exceeding annual sales targets
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into a consultative sales approach
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of an analytics organization (individual developer to CTO)
  • Organizational Skills: Diligence and organizational skills to manage long, intricate sales cycles
  • Adaptability: Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment
  • Teamwork: Passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the company

Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Management: Build, manage, and close your own pipeline of companies that will benefit from the dbt Cloud offering.
  • Account Deepening: Manage and deepen the dbt Cloud footprint in existing accounts, optimizing our impact on these companies.
  • Partner Engagement: Engage with technology partners and ecosystem service providers to optimize our impact and reach in the region.
  • Process Improvement: Lead and contribute to team projects that develop our sales process.
  • Roadmap Contribution: Work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap.
