Strategic Account Manager

Position Overview

Boulevard is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to strategically manage customer relationships to drive revenue growth, maximize client lifetime value, ensure high client retention rates, and execute effective account planning to capitalize on growth opportunities. As a Strategic Account Manager at Boulevard, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding relationships with our key clients. You will be responsible for understanding their business objectives, challenges, and priorities, and leveraging this understanding to drive revenue growth and client satisfaction. You will serve as the primary point of contact for strategic discussions, identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell, negotiate contract renewals and expansions, and develop comprehensive account plans to achieve mutual success. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and effective collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with multiple client decision-makers (multi-threaded in accounts).
  • Act as a strategic advisor to clients, utilizing a comprehensive understanding of Boulevard’s products and growth opportunities, as well as our customers' business goals and challenges to effectively upsell to existing strategic accounts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all strategic, commercial, and renewal term discussions.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue expansion targets and maximize client lifetime value.
  • Negotiate contract renewals with price increases, added expansion products, and extended year terms to improve NRR (Net Recurring Revenue).
  • Develop comprehensive account plans outlining growth opportunities, action plans, and milestones.
  • Work closely with sales, customer success, and R&D teams to ensure alignment with client needs and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate client records, including contract updates and renewals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience as a strategic account manager or in a similar role.
  • Proven work experience in managing key accounts, ranging from $100k - $1M ARR.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong listening and selling skills, with a passion for discussing strategic terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical deliverables.
  • Ability to manage multiple decision-makers and customer account plans simultaneously.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Your total budgeted cash compensation for this role is between $140,000.
