Position Overview

We are seeking a client-focused Relationship Manager with strong sales instincts to join our high-impact Relationship Management team. This role is ideal for someone who excels at building deep enterprise client partnerships, uncovering hidden growth opportunities, and driving revenue by fostering strong client relationships. This is not a passive account management role; our best Relationship Managers actively build revenue while building relationships.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Client Growth & Revenue: Manage and grow an existing book of business, transforming satisfied clients into loyal advocates and increasing revenue streams.
  • Deep Client Understanding: Thoroughly understand client business models, identify pain points, and propose solutions that leverage Dwolla’s platform to deliver new value.
  • Revenue Ownership: Be responsible for retention and revenue growth targets, including cross-sell, upsell, and expansion opportunities.
  • Relationship Building: Conduct strategic business reviews, assist clients in mapping future-state opportunities, and keep them informed about new product capabilities.
  • Leverage Technology: Utilize Salesforce, Slack, AI tools, and other modern technologies to track growth opportunities and enhance efficiency.
  • Client Advocacy: Act as the voice of the client, channeling feedback to Product and Engineering teams to inform product development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Experience, Marketing, Sales, and other teams to ensure a seamless client experience and achieve client goals.

  • 70%: Client meetings, strategic touchpoints, opportunity spotting.
  • 15%: Cross-functional collaboration (Product, Engineering, Marketing).
  • 15%: CRM updates, reporting, internal planning.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in relationship management, sales, or client success, preferably in SaaS or fintech.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and retention targets.
  • Experience managing a book of business or client portfolio.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Slack, G Suite, and AI tools.
  • Strong skills in reporting, forecasting, and cross-functional communication.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in the payments or fintech ecosystem.
  • Background in contract negotiation and renewals.
  • Strategic thinker who has contributed to process or go-to-market improvements.
