Requirements

Candidates should possess a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, with at least 8 years of demonstrated successful software sales experience, preferably in B2B or B2G markets. A proven record of quota attainment in strategic field sales, experience with a consultative, solution-based sales methodology, executive presence, and the ability to communicate with government executive-level decision-makers are essential. The role also requires resilience in a fast-paced sales environment, the ability to develop trusted relationships, and proven skills in building and managing pipeline and forecasting.

Responsibilities

The Strategic Account Executive will lead and execute sales strategies by developing and implementing territory and account plans to achieve revenue targets in the state and local government sector. They will build and manage customer relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers, stay informed about market dynamics, and utilize consultative selling techniques to understand customer needs and propose solutions. Responsibilities include negotiating and closing deals by managing complex sales cycles, crafting mutual action plans, sourcing RFPs, and partnering with Legal and Deal Desk teams. The role also involves collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners, developing a comprehensive services strategy for customers, and maintaining accurate sales documentation, reporting, and forecasting.
