Why This Role is Exciting

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Strategic Account Executive to join our expanding team. This role focuses on managing and growing relationships with our most influential, high-revenue clients—accounts with $15B+ in revenue. These strategic accounts, encompassing both existing top-tier customers and new pursuits, are critical for driving meaningful growth and fostering long-term partnerships.

You will manage a dedicated territory of named accounts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (CS, Alliances, Product, Engineering) to implement strategic sales motions tailored to our clients' evolving business needs. Your responsibilities will include new business acquisition and high-touch expansions (cross-sell & upsell), ensuring our strategic accounts are equipped with the necessary solutions and support to excel.

With a focus on Total Addressable ARR (TAM) and premium support, you will strategically develop and execute a solution-centric sales approach. This involves collaborating with advisory firms and key decision-makers to identify and drive impactful integrations. As a trusted advisor, you will significantly influence the evolution of our product offering to meet the demands of our largest and most complex accounts.

This position is remote and requires the candidate to be based in the Central Region (Chicago, IL).

Key Responsibilities

As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling AuditBoard products to both large publicly traded and private organizations.

  • Execute full-cycle sales: This includes territory planning, pipeline generation, and progressing sales opportunities to close. We are looking for dynamic and ambitious sales achievers capable of building and maintaining a viable pipeline.
  • Expand business opportunities: Focus on both existing and new customer accounts within your assigned territory, with a balanced approach to cross-sell/upsell and net new business acquisition.
  • Develop strategic account plans: Create multi-year account plans, territory plans, and tailored strategies to position AuditBoard's multi-pillar platform sales across multiple business units and economic buyers.
  • Build trusted relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with C-suite executives (CxOs) by deeply understanding their priorities and delivering solutions that align with their strategic objectives. Collaborate with CCOs, CAOs, CFOs, CIOs, CTOs, EVPs, and SVPs to develop customized solutions.
  • Identify and educate prospects: Understand prospective customers' pain points, educate them on AuditBoard's value proposition, highlight our differentiators, conduct product demonstrations via video conference/onsite, and guide prospects through the sales process.
  • Travel: Expect approximately 25%-30% travel for client and partner meetings, as well as events and conferences.
  • Co-create solutions and business cases: Enable stakeholders across the business to advocate for and adopt AuditBoard into their organizations.
  • Collaborate internally: Work closely with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Product Solutions Specialists (SEs), and Value Architects to achieve sales goals.
