Position Overview

Confluent is revolutionizing data streaming, enabling companies to react faster, build smarter, and deliver dynamic experiences. We are seeking a driven Sales Operations Business Partner to own Confluent's sales processes and collaborate closely with AVP(s)/RSD(s) of Sales. This role is crucial for managing and enhancing the team's selling efforts through data analysis, process improvement, and accurate forecasting.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced sales environment, possess superior analytical skills, and excel at multitasking under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting and Pipeline Analytics: Ensure accurate forecasting and comprehensive pipeline analytics.
  • Sales Performance Reporting: Analyze and report on sales results, including the development and maintenance of system dashboards.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with AVP of Sales, RSD's, and Finance to refine go-to-market models and sales methodologies.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify and solve pain points within the sales organization and sales processes to improve efficiency.
  • Sales Planning: Participate in weekly, quarterly, and annual sales planning by preparing and supporting the delivery of sales coverage and forecasting analytics.
  • Process and System Standardization: Lead efforts to standardize processes and systems (e.g., Salesforce.com) for accurate and efficient data collection and management of sales efforts.
  • Territory Planning: Partner with Sales leaders to facilitate global sales territory planning, including creation and allocation of territories as the sales team grows.
  • Communication Management: Own communication to the field, maintaining a calendar of communications from a global to sub-region standpoint, and ensuring sales process adoption.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Compensation, Account Executives, Data Science, Business Development, Field Marketing, and other Sales Operations team members to share knowledge, best practices, and facilitate standardization across the sales organization.
