  • Description: The Senior Sequencing Sales Specialist will be a customer-facing strategic and technical sales resource for Illumina’s sequencing and multiomic product portfolios. They will work as part of a team of account managers to achieve regional sales objectives and monitor market activities. The role focuses on building customer relationships, providing technical expertise, and supporting the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with various teams (marketing, Territory Account Managers, Insides Sales Reps, etc.) to achieve sales goals.
  • Assists in developing customized territory plans.
  • Regularly meets with customers individually and as part of an Illumina team.
  • Prepares and presents technical seminars on Illumina Sequencing product lines.
  • Develops long-term customer relationships as a trusted consultant.
  • Connects customers with internal teams when appropriate.
  • Ensures the sales team is trained on product information.
  • Represents the company professionally, scientifically, and ethically.
  • Leverages technical knowledge to support sales efforts.
  • Rapidly becomes an expert on new Illumina innovations.
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of the market environment, competition, and industry trends.
  • Assists with workshops, seminar series, and other marketing activities.
