Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in biological sciences (biology, chemistry, biochemistry) or a Master’s degree in a related field, along with 3+ years of experience in Next Generation Sequencing Oncology product management or a similar technical environment. Demonstrated assay commercialization in genomics, next-generation sequencing, or a related industry is required, including experience with chemistry, software, and bioinformatics products. Furthermore, 2+ years of experience in high-touchpoint customer-facing roles are necessary, along with a willingness and ability to travel approximately 20% domestically and internationally. Previous experience with a PhD in biological sciences is considered a plus, as is a demonstrated understanding of competitors, technologies, trends, and key challenges in the NGS and oncology research market.
In this role, the Senior Commercial Product Manager will develop an annual strategic plan to achieve product revenue and margin growth objectives, driving actions to ensure sustainable growth and the completion of strategic objectives. They will serve as a commercial subject matter expert and product champion internally and externally, analyzing and responding to customer feedback, market trends, competitor performance, sales channels, and regulatory requirements. The position involves managing all aspects of the product life cycle, including new product launch and execution of obsolescence, partnering with Sales and Marketing teams to develop effective positioning strategies, marketing campaigns, collateral, sales and support tools, and training programs. Collaboration with Quality Assurance and Operations is also required to address supply issues and communicate with commercial teams and customers. The Product Manager will own communications for commercial teams and customers when necessary.
