Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, with a Master's Degree or PhD strongly preferred. A minimum of 15 years of experience in senior commercial management roles within North America, preferably in life sciences or genomics, is required. A proven track record of leading sales organizations and executing strategic growth initiatives with revenue responsibility in the $200M+ range is essential. Strong analytical, planning, and financial skills with a strategic and creative mindset, along with proven leadership capability and proficiency in CRM systems and commercial process management, are necessary. The role requires the ability to travel 30-50% of the time.

Responsibilities

The Vice President of Sales will provide vision, strategy, and guidance to the commercial team to achieve revenue, margin, and expense objectives using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools, sales funnel management, and action planning. They will deploy strategies to ensure market penetration while meeting Danaher standards for operating margin expansion and working capital deployment. This role involves fostering a customer-centric culture, meeting or exceeding KPIs, utilizing CRM tools for sales management, and managing external relations with industry stakeholders. Collaboration with Finance and executive leadership on revenue targets, financial modeling, and resource allocation is also a key responsibility.
