GoFundMe is seeking a Senior Principal Business Operations to join their Global Business Operations (BizOps) function. This role will focus on driving growth and improving internal operations across all teams. The ideal candidate will manage high-impact, cross-functional projects, drive process improvements, and deliver objective analysis and insights. This is a strategic, hands-on role reporting to the Senior Director of Business Operations, based in the US.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Business Operations experience, with a background in strategy and operations within the consumer internet space, or from a top-tier consulting firm/investment bank with strong tech industry exposure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
  • Excellent business judgment, strategic and structured thinking.
  • Proven experience in leading people and projects.
  • Organized, strategically focused, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills with the capacity to delve deep into issues and articulate solutions to teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key stakeholder in identifying insights to improve day-to-day business operations and support strategic business decisions.
  • Break down complex problems into clear, structured frameworks and develop actionable plans.
  • Drive strategic projects and process optimization, collaborating cross-functionally to identify and analyze improvement opportunities.
  • Develop solutions and actionable recommendations through rigorous, data-driven processes.
  • Develop data-driven investment theses, business cases, and success criteria for growth initiatives and performance improvements.
  • Establish key operating KPIs to drive accountability and measure progress on operational priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive ownership and accountability for KPIs across the organization and lead reporting for key forums (e.g., WBRs, QBRs, KPI reviews, all-hands meetings).
  • Partner with the executive team and leaders across product, engineering, marketing, sales, communications, and customer care to define deliverables, set milestones, and resolve cross-functional dependencies.
  • Influence business strategy by identifying key insights and driving alignment among the leadership team.
  • Implement and manage scalable policies and processes, bringing best practices to business operations.
  • Drive automation and leverage AI to enhance existing business systems and reporting.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the global peer and competitive landscape to identify investment opportunities and potential challenges.
