About the Role

We are seeking a VP of Strategic Alliances to manage Garner's relationships with the largest broker and consulting firms nationwide. This role is crucial for scaling Garner's core business and involves relationship management, understanding client needs, and day-to-day execution. The VP will serve as the primary point of contact for key consulting partners and will collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Business Development teams to enhance Garner's market presence. This position reports directly to the SVP of Strategic Alliances.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a business development plan to prioritize, target, and establish lead-generating partnerships with national distributors.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with key leaders within target firms and maintain a high level of understanding of Garner's core product.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Product, Marketing, Client Services, and Operations teams to manage partner needs and expectations, and to inform go-to-market strategies.
  • Design a data-driven approach, including goals and metrics, with Sales Operations to drive and monitor the success of national partnerships. This includes tracking contracting targets, timing, closure rates, and the overall health of relationships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the employee benefits consulting space.
  • 5+ years of experience in consultant/broker relationship management with national employer health benefits consultants and brokers (e.g., Aon, WTW, Mercer, USI, Alliant).
  • Ability to manage complex projects and achieve results under tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of existing relationships within the employee benefits consultant space, with a deep understanding of the major firms' operations.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a rapidly evolving startup environment.
  • A strong desire to contribute to Garner's mission of improving the healthcare system.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $200,000 - $240,000
  • Commission: Eligible for commission.
  • Equity: Eligible to participate in our equity incentive plan.
