Requirements

5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR roles with hands-on responsibility in immigration, compliance, and benefits
Deep working knowledge of US immigration processes (H-1B, TN, O-1, Green Card, etc.) and experience coordinating with outside counsel
Strong understanding of federal and multi-state compliance requirements, including leave laws, wage and hour rules, and training mandates
Prior experience administering benefits and leave programs (including short- and long-term disability, FMLA, and local ordinances)
Experience owning compliance reporting processes and preparing data for audits or external filing
Deep expertise in Rippling — not just as a user, but a power operator. You’ve built workflows, maintained data integrity, and know how to get the most out of the platform to support efficient, compliant operations
Strong familiarity with documentation tools and repo

Responsibilities

Own immigration processes end-to-end for employees and candidates, including visa applications, renewals, audits, and partnership with legal counsel
Manage compliance programs, including audits, harassment prevention training, and other regulatory mandates
Lead compliance reporting requirements such as EEO-1, VETS-4212, and state-specific filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
Administer employee benefits and leaves, including health and wellness programs, paid and unpaid leaves (e.g., FMLA, ADA, parental), and benefits enrollments and renewals
Partner on policy development and updates for our multi-state employee base, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with our culture
Maintain internal documentation (policies, calendars, audit trails) and build scalable processes that can flex with our team’s growth
Support audits and respond to regulatory inquiries with thorough, organized documentation and process transparency
Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, Legal, Finance, and IT to deliver seamless employee experiences
